The lynx enclosure at the Harz National Park is a great opportunity to catch a glimpse of the largest European wildcat. Originally, the lynx lived across northern and middle Europe all the way to Siberia but was almost extirpated in the 19th century. Since the year 2000, more than 20 lynxes returned to the wild in the Harz1)http://www.luchsprojekt-harz.de/.
The two enclosures at the “Raven Crag” host three and two lynxes, respectively. And no matter how large and wild a cat seems to be, it is still at cat 🙂 But take a look for yourself.
They pretend to ignore you

They are doing cat things

They observe you

They are lying in the sun

They are majestic

And they are playing around
